Fittings are used in pipe systems to connect straight pipe or tubing sections, adapt to different sizes or shapes and for other purposes, such as regulating fluid flow. Pipe Fittings are used in a piping system to change direction or function, which is mechanically joined to the system. The simplest way to achieve this is to bend the pipe in the direction required, but this process will stretch and thin the outer wall of the pipe whilst thickening and wrinkling, the inner wall of the pipe. This results in flow resistance and accelerated wall erosion. Incoloy Elbow Fittings—Incoloy Pipe Elbows are installed between two lengths of pipe or tube allowing a change of direction by 180°, 90° or 45°. The ends are machined for Butt Welding when the two ends differ in size, it is called a Reducer or, Reducing Elbow. Pipe Fitting Elbows are available as 180° elbows, 90° elbows or 45° elbows in 1D, 1.5D, 2D, 3D, 5D, 6D, 8D, 10D radius as short and long radius elbows. All ASTM B366 elbows are mandrel formed to ensure consistency.

Incoloy Return Bend Fittings— Bends are similar to elbows with different bending radiuses. ASTM B366 Bends are supplied as long radius return bends and short radius return bends.

Incoloy Pipe Cross Fittings—Pipe Fitting Cross are used in several industries for providing the leak free and torque free sealing in any piping or tubing connection known for their close tolerances.

Incoloy Cap Pipe Fittings—The function of a Pipe Cap is to block off the end of a line in an industrial piping system. Pipe Cap is fitted by placing the end cap over the open line and welding around the joint.

Incoloy Tee Pipe Fittings—Pipe Fitting Tee is widely used in industrial piping systems to merge or divide fluids and do not require special tubing preparation before installation. Tees are available in different threading specifications and are engineered to close tolerances and precise dimensions.

Incoloy Stub Ends Pipe Fittings—Stub Ends are installed in pairs and mated together with two Lap-Joint Flanges. The surface of the stub end has a phonographic serrated gasket surface which prevents leakage at the joint. Using stub ends allows sections of the line to be opened for cleaning, inspection or quick replacement, etc, without the need to re-weld.

Properties of Incoloy 825 alloy

Incoloy 825 Cold Forming

Cold-forming properties and practices are essentially the same for Incoloy alloy 825 as for Inconel alloy 600. Although work-hardening rate is somewhat less than for the common grades of austenitic stainless steels, it is still relatively high. Forming equipment should be well powered and strongly built to compensate for the increase in yield strength with plastic deformation.

Incoloy 825 Hot Forming

The hot-working range for Incoloy alloy 825 is 1600 to 2150°F (870 to 1180°C). For optimum corrosion resistance, final hot working should be done at temperatures between 1600 and 1800°F (870 and 980°C). Cooling after hot working should be air cool or faster. Heavy sections may become sensitized during cooling from the hot-working temperature, and therefore be subject to intergranular corrosion in certain media. A stabilizing anneal restores resistance to corrosion. If material is to be welded or subjected to further thermal treatment and subsequently exposed to an environment that may cause intergranular corrosion, the stabilizing anneal should be performed regardless of cooling rate from the hot-working temperature.

Incoloy 825 Machining

All standard machining operations are readily performed on Incoloy alloy 825. The alloy normally has optimum machining characteristics in the annealed temper.

Incoloy 825 Welding

Incoloy alloy 825 has good weldability by all conventional processes. For most applications, Inconel Welding Electrode 112 for shielded metal-arc welding and Inconel Filler Metal 625 for gas-shielded processes are used. For applications that require highest resistance to corrosion, Inco-weld Welding Electrode 686CPT and Inco-weld Filler Metal 686CPT are used.

Incoloy 825 Heat Treatment

Incoloy 825 is stabilise annealed at 940°C. The softest structure is obtained at 980°C. Sections heavier than sheet, strip and wire should be quenched to avoid sensitisation.

Packing and Delivery

The product is wrapped and packed in wooden crates or carton boxes. Our primary goal is to deliver quality products in time, no matter where the client is located.
