Properties of Monel 400 alloy

Alloy 400 Cold Forming

Alloy 400 displays excellent cold forming characteristics. Soft Die materials can be used for a better finish.

Alloy 400 Hot Forming

Alloy 400 can be hot-formed into any shape. The Hot working temperature range for this alloy must be between 648-1176°C (1200-2150°F).

Alloy 400 Machining

Alloy 400 can be machined at satisfactory rates with machine tools generally used for iron alloys.

Alloy 400 Welding

Welding Methods for Alloy 400 is similar to austenitic stainless steels. Alloy 400 can easily be joined by gas-tungsten arc, gas metal arc or shielded metal arc processes using appropriate filler metals.

Alloy 400 Heat Treatment

Heat treatment for alloy 400 should be done in a sulfur-free environment. Annealing cycle for alloy 400 should range from 1300 to 1800°F, however, 1600 to 1800°F is most typical.

Documents provided along with the shipment include Certificate of Origin, Material Test Certificate as per EN 10204 3.1 and 10204 3.2, NACE MR10103 and NACE MR0175 certified Test Certificates.

Monel Bars are manufactured and controlled to international standards such as ASTM, ASME, BS, MSS, EN, DIN or WERKSTOFFE. Our products undergo stringent quality tests before they are dispatched.

Material Testing

PMI Testing, Ultrasonic Test, Mechanical Testing, Spectro Tests for Chemical Analysis of the grade, Flaring Test, IGC, etc. are some of the tests conducted at our facility. We welcome stage wise inspection from any of your representative or third party inspection agencies.

Packing and Delivery

The product is wrapped and packed in wooden crates or carton boxes. Our primary goal is to deliver quality products in time, no matter where the client is located.
