Threaded Pipe Flange look very similar to Slip-On flanges but Screwed Flange has been bored out to match a specific pipe inside diameter. The backside of this center opening is then threaded with the relevant-sized tapered pipe thread. Threaded Pipe Flange can be used in very high pressure services and their major advantage is that Threaded Pipe Flange can be assembled without welding. Screwed Flange are used with pipes that have external threads. Screwed Flange are typically provided with a raised face, flat face, or RTJ facing.
